Are you ready to step into a role where your expertise in employment relations can make a real difference? As the Employment Relations Manager, you will:
- Lead Negotiations that count. From collective agreements to individual contract matters, you’ll play a key role in high-stakes discussions that shape the future of our clients members’ employment.
- Support and guide a skilled team of ER professionals. Your leadership will empower them to deliver critical guidance on employment conditions, managing complex cases, and navigating changes with ease.
- Communicate and educate, ensuring our clients members stay informed and empowered. You will contribute to publications, lead training efforts, and be the go-to for sharing updates that matter.
- Build key relationships, by working closely with senior management, elected officials, and the members employer. You will ensure a unified approach to advocating for the people you support, with an emphasis on trust and collaboration.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in taking a strategic approach to collective agreement negotiations and mediation, with a strong sense of purpose in advocating for others.
- Leadership experience. You know how to manage, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team.
- Solid understanding of employment law and remuneration along with a pragmatic approach to navigating public sector complexities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and connect with diverse audiences.
- A commitment to continuous learning and respect for the rich, multicultural landscape of Aotearoa.
