Our client, Tāmaki Regeneration (TRC), is a place-based organisation that works alongside Mana Whenua, the community, and partners to shape Glen Innes, Point England and Panmure through New Zealand’s largest regeneration programme. Their focus is to increase the pace of housing delivery by building new, warm and dry homes, being a world class tenancy and asset manager, and delivering a focused set of social and economic programmes to enable greater whānau outcomes.

With multiple projects underway and a strong pipeline of social housing, shared home ownership, and affordable rentals, you will play a critical role in assisting with the delivery of concepts through the entire development cycle to practical completion.
  
The key purpose of this role is to support the Director of Operations and General Manager in their day-to-day leadership of the development programme that will result in the delivery of 742 new homes and enablement of 468 homes over a five-year period.  With a strong background in end-to-end residential development delivery it is expected that you will hit the ground running and quickly immerse yourself in this important role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day support to the Director of Operations and General Manager in their leadership of the Tāmaki programme
  • General development coordination support including supporting the formulation of project development strategies and project programmes
  • Lead and/ support the initiation and delivery of strategic and operational initiatives working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Manage the TRC acquisition programme
  • Collate key project information to support a variety of reporting requirements within the business
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager, Quality Assurance, and other team members lead or assist with the preparation, development and refinement of specific development process and guidance documentation and templates

Ideally we are looking for someone with the following key attributes:

  • Relevant experience in Residential Property Development or Project Management
  • Tertiary qualification in Property, Project Management or Quantity Surveying
  • Experience working in or driving projects or workstreams in an agile environment
  • Strong experience developing and implementing new processes in aa a complex and dynamic operating environment
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Good technical awareness across the full development life-cycle including initial feasibility analysis, procurement, construction contract management, master-planning, consenting, sales and marketing (direct / hands-on experience in one or more of these areas ideal)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • True team player and experience working with diverse communities and cultures – specifically Māori and Pasifika
