We are looking for a Senior Manager Network and Customer to joint the Metlink Group. This is a permanent full-time role based in our central Wellington office.

About the role:
Reporting to the Metlink Group Manager, the Senior Manager Network and Customer will lead innovative thinking to ensure products and services are designed for the customer and with the customer experience in mind. Your team will have responsibility for the design, development and coordinated implementation of the network.
You have the opportunity to influence and incorporate the voice of the customer, to ensure ongoing network development and design, meets their needs, while working in alignment with regional planning, strategies and policies.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Developing the Group Customer Strategy, with input and guidance from the other Metlink divisions, to drive all customer activity, with customer insights integrated across the Group through providing a voice of the customer, and influencing, educating and empowering Metlink teams to own the customer experience, while working within a financially constrained operating environment.
- Ensuring an integrated design and planning approach across network modes, services and channels meets public transport outcomes. This will include development of frameworks for those design processes, (including modelling) to identify impacts of change, and provide a robust, efficient and effective design modelling process for service changes.
- Ensuring network design is informed by robust customer data, not opinion and anecdotal evidence, and delivering a partnership approach with Operators in relation to timetable development with more structured management of timetable and rosters and awareness of the impact on revenue.
Skills and experience required:
Candidates will have transport planning experience, although we will consider those who have effectively operated and delivered across complex “networked” environments.
- Proven experience as an inspirational and effective people leader.
- Evidence a background initiating and leading an organisational perspective and approach, promote organisation-wide interests and be comfortable managing change.
- Show superior stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, collaborating internally, and across a diverse internal and external stakeholder base, to achieve the desired culture and outcomes.
- Have a unique mix of skills and experience that comes from having developed the commercial nous to ensure you make robust business decisions, but always cognisant of the “political” and community drivers that must be heard and incorporated into any plans/initiatives.
- Ideally, candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification and have a background of success in a complex organisation that requires visible and connected leadership.

The remuneration range for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $181,905 to $272,857, with a midpoint of $227,381.Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
