Arthritis NZ Mateponapona Aotearoa is a registered charitable trust, dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by arthritis through a variety of services and programmes. We are a team that values whanaungatanga (working together), arongo whanoke (innovation) and whanau oranga (self-determined health and wellbeing).

We are seeking a passionate marketing professional, who is ready to make a significant impact, to join the Arthritis NZ team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is based in Wellington and offers a unique opportunity to leverage your skills to improve the lives of people affected by arthritis.

As the Senior Marketing Lead, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a new brand awareness strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on brand awareness.
  • Developing an independent marketing strategy for a critical health condition, that encompasses cultural diversity/messaging and leverages platforms like TikTok.
  • Provide strategic advice and risk mitigation strategies to support the Funding and Communications Manager.

What we are looking for:

  • A strategic and creative thinker. You will have the ability to see the bigger picture and bring fresh, innovative ideas.
  • A background in marketing, communications, or related fields with proven success in strategy development and implementation. The core focus of this role is marketing related and therefore significant experience/competence in marketing is essential.
  • Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • NGO experience is welcome, but we are also interested in candidates from other sectors who can bring new perspectives.
  • User design experience, especially those with experience working with Māori/Pacific communities, as this is a key target group.
  • A problem solver with the ability to identify challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • A passionate and hands-on person who is driven to achieve outcomes but flexible enough to adjust as required.
