This role has been created to acknowledge the growth trajectory that Summerset are on, the significant role they play, and respect the People and Culture team have with their internal customers.

The Operations Group is critical to Summerset, representing around 80% of the organisation. With 30villages nationally, this newly created role has responsibility for providing sound and expert day to day advice and support across the full range of people and culture related activities to the Central Region operations. You will be supporting the Central Region leadership team which is led by a Napier based Regional Manager, with Villages and Care Centres located in Napier (3), Hastings, Whanganui, Palmerston North, Levin, Paraparaumu and Taupo. Whilst the role is Wellington based, you will be required to travel at times.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager – Operations and supported by a People and Culture Advisor, you will be expected to partner closely with the Regional Manager and wider leadership team in an environment that has challenging and rewarding people initiatives to deliver on. You will deliver effective people and culture solutions, primarily across recruitment, employment relations, culture and change management. The role will at times also be a key contributor to diverse people and culture projects, as part of wider team initiatives.

You’ll ideally already have at least five years’ generalist experience across  recruitment, employment relations, culture and change management. You will be personable, engaging, connected and thrive on delivering outcomes. Ideally you will have previously worked in a business partnering role, therefore bringing experience of helping businesses achieve strategic goals and be able to navigate effectively between the operational and strategic.
