Human Resources Advisor

Wellington based

Human Resources Advisor

  • New and challenging role
  • Broad and diverse scope in a dynamic, critical NZ entity
  • 12 month fixed term

While reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this newly created role has responsibility for providing sound and expert strategic and day to day advice and support across the full range of people and culture related activities to the geographically dispersed Regional Chief Executives and their teams.

The role need not be Wellington based, but you will be required to travel at times no matter where you are stationed.

You will be expected to partner closely with the Regional Chief Executives in an environment that has challenging and rewarding people initiatives to deliver on. You will deliver effective people and culture solutions, primarily across strategy, employment relations, culture and change management. The role will at times also be a key contributor to diverse people and culture projects, as part of wider team initiatives.

Key challenges include:

  • Review of governance and policy to ensure organisational readiness, both national and regional.
  • Review and recommendation of appropriate HR systems, including having HR systems that are incorporated into the general organisational management systems.
  • Establishment of a secure and confidential communications structure that develops confidence with staff to openly communicate their ideas, views and concerns.

Ideally you will have at least five years’ generalist experience which will have spanned employment relations, culture and change management.

You will be personable, engaging, connected and thrive on delivering outcomes. Ideally you will have previously worked in a business partnering role, therefore bringing experience of helping “businesses” achieve strategic goals and be able to navigate effectively between the operational and strategic.

If you are seeking a role that will provide you with challenging and interesting work in an organisation that truly values its people, then we would welcome your interest.
